Jesi Zinn is a contemporary surrealist painter from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and currently established in Queens, New York. Zinn creates work that emanates the animated nature and dewy-eyed imagination of her childhood. Among galaxies, mountains, lakes, celestial beings and striking compositions, Zinn embraces a distinctive style which expresses emotionally charged experiences.
Zinn believes in the power of education as well as a prolific work ethic. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Messiah University, a Masters of Science Degree in Special Education from Brooklyn College, and is currently enrolled at City College of New York pursuing a Masters of Arts in Art Education. While also working as a full-time special education teacher in Queens, Zinn also shows work in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She most recently exhibited her solo show at Greenpoint Gallery and showed in the Lesbians are Miracles Magazine.
